Copy Offers 15GB Free Storage

Google recently announced that they are offering 15GB of combined free space across Drive, Google+ photos, and Gmail that can be used as they wish. Copy, the recently launched cloud storage service from Barracuda Networks, has decided to copy Google and also offer users 15GB of free storage.

The offer is good for all existing and new users that sign up so everyone can take advantage of the extra free space. Of course if they decided to copy MEGA and offer 50GB of free space that would be great!

The other bit of news from Copy is their new Fair Storage plan. This is a great idea that would be great if other cloud storage services copied. The basic idea is the amount of storage of shared folders is spread out between all of the users that share those files. So a 20GB share between 4 people would only count as 5GB against each persons storage. Excellent idea. What the video below to get a better idea of this new feature.

Copy also offers a 5GB referral plan, so new users that are referred from an existing user get 5GB of extra free space and so does the referrer. If you use my Copy link you can start off with 20GB of free storage. Not a bad deal.

In other news it looks like they have also improved their web portal from the first time I actually looked at them. Nice to see some enhancements in that area. Will improve their service.

NOTE: Anyone commenting with a referral link will be marked as spam. I have started a referral lottery here if you want to submit your referral link.

I’m actually really impressed: great both on the web, app and PC. Will probably switch from Dropbox.
