Carbonite to Release New Features

Looks like Carbonite is going to start taking some of the features of Backblaze and CrashPlan seriously. They do not even have these new features available yet but released a news release that they are going to be adding new features.

To summarize from the press release here are the new features coming to Carbonite:

  • Full system backup
  • Backup and restore for external hard drives
  • Automatic online backup for video files
  • Recovery-by-mail

Nice to see Carbonite adding some of the features that were missing from their service. I am sure those wanting external hard drive support and have video will be grateful. Now if they would do something about the data throttling limits and they could possibly take the number one spot here on Online Backup Deals.
