IDrive Expands its Express Program

There is no doubt the worst part of cloud backup is the initial upload of all your data. Once you get your initial backup uploaded it can be a pretty quick process but if you have a large initial upload it can take a long time. One of the ways many companies get around that long, slow, upload process is to seed the initial backup by adding data through a seed drive. The process is pretty simple really, the company sends you a hard drive, you fill it up with your data and ship it back. Your data from the drive is then added to your backup and only the changed files are uploaded after that. A larger version of what could be called sneaker net.

IDrive is one of only a few companies that offer this type of seed drive service. Previously the IDrive Express Program was only available to customers based in the United States, but with this announcement IDrive will be offering their Express program not only in the United States but also Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Australia and the United Kingdom.

IDrive Expands its Express Program to International Customers
