I noticed on the Livedrive blog today that they have announced the availability of their newest version of their Android mobile app. That got me looking back a little bit and realized that they also released a new version of their iOS app back in May as well.
The big news about both the new Android and the iOS app is the apps are no longer just access only but also offer the ability to backup the mobile photos and video. It appears the new backup feature is available to only Pro Suite and Briefcase users, but that might be a good enough reason to sign up for those plans.
I have not tried Livedrive since they were acquired by j2 Global, who have also acquired SugarSync since. Perhaps the new Livedrive app has benefited from the SugarSync acquisition. I will have to add redoing the Livedrive review to the list of reviews to update here on the site to see if Livedrive has improved since.
