It was not that long ago that I reviewed BackJack, the Mac only online backup service. I just recently heard that they have decided to sell their online backup service to Mozy and are transitioning their current users to Mozy accounts.
While I can understand why they chose Mozy to sell their online backup service to, it is not the company that I would recommend for their current customers. Don’t get me wrong Mozy is a good service, but their current home backup offerings are small and over priced. If you require a MozyPro account to backup your company they are competitive.
For home users of BackJack I highly recommend you take a look at either Backblaze or CrashPlan for your backup needs. If you want a backup service that just works on your Mac try Backblaze. It just works and keeps your data safe. If you want more control of your backup and over what gets backed up check out CrashPlan.
