MyPCBackup Releases Update

MyPCBackup sent out emails announcing a recent update to their online backup client. The new update should increase the speed of your backups.

Here is a copy of the email I recieved.

Hi John,

I wanted to contact you personally to give you some exciting news.

We have launched a major new update to our App which will dramatically increase the speed of backups.

So to experience our fastest ever backups just click the ‘Update’ button found at the top right of the application.

Once updated you must restart your computer for the new version to take effect.

If you have a backup running you will not see the ‘Update’ button so you will either need to wait until your backup has finished or perform the following steps:

For Windows Vista and 7 users

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Right click on the ‘MyPC Backup’ tray icon (bottom right of your screen) and select ‘exit’

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Click the windows ‘start’ menu

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Type in the search ‘c:program files’ then press enter (‘c:program files (x86)’ for Windows 64bit)

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Locate ‘MyPC Backup’ from the list of folders and double click to open it

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Locate ‘Updater’ from the list of files and double click to run

Р      Once the update is complete restart your computer and start enjoying our fastest service yet.

For Windows XP users

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Right click on the ‘MyPC Backup’ tray icon (bottom right of your screen) and select ‘exit’

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Click the windows ‘start’ menu

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Click on ‘computer’ or ‘my computer’

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Click on ‘Local Disk C:’ then open folder ‘program files’ (‘program files (x86)’ for Windows 64bit)

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Locate ‘MyPC backup’ from the list of folders

– ¬† ¬† ¬† Locate ‘Updater’ from the list of files and double click to run
