The new subscription plans from Mozy has some monthly subscribers unhappy about having to pay more for their online backup service. Not surprising really, why should you have to pay more even if you are under the new 50GB cap of the MozyHome 50GB service. If you would like to stay with a monthly online backup subscription but not worry about going over the new 50GB size here are some of the online backup services that you can switch to that offer you larger storage capacity at a better price.
Backblaze – Backblaze offers and easy to use backup service that will just take care of backing up your files. Add to that unlimited storage space and a monthly fee of only $5.00 you can save that extra $.99 and go buy a coffee.
IDrive – Packing a host of features IDrive continues to offer 150GB personal plan for only $4.95 / month matching the old Mozy monthly subscription fee. Giving you an extra 100GB of space over the newest Mozy subscription plan.
Acronis – Acronis has a long record of solid backup software. Their online backup service is a solid service and is a great choice if you want to stay with a monthly payment plan. For $4.95 / month you get 250GB of storage space.
MyOtherDrive – I don’t talk about MyOtherDrive here often but they offer monthly subscription plans starting at $5.00 / month for 100GB.
If you like the idea of online backup but do not want to be tied into a one, two or even three year subscription you still have some excellent choices for monthly service.
