SugarSync has announced new plans and pricing for their service. Most of the time when I hear about plan and price changes for cloud storage services it is a price increase so I was pleasantly surprised when the new plans and pricing for SugarSync actually went down.
First the bad news, they have dropped the 30GB plan making their 60GB plan the smallest plan they offer. This is not a surprise for many reasons. The smallest Dropbox plan is now 100GB so the new SugarSync plans are closer to their competitors. The good news is the 60GB and 100GB plans are now cheaper than they were previously. Nice to see a service dropping their prices instead of raising them. The competition in the cloud storage market continues in 2013.
