Use Google+ to Backup Your Mobiles Photos

I am horrible at copying the photos off of my Android powered smartphone and tablet. Part of my problem is because I never hook the up to the computer to copy data onto them, so I just forget to copy the photos off. I was using SugarSync to sync the photos to my SugarSync account and that worked well but I recently installed the Google+ app and discovered that they have a nifty little feature included in the app called “Instant Upload”.

Instant Upload might not have been meant as a backup feature but the reality is it is the best reason to join Google+. Google+ Instant Upload will automatically upload your new photos and videos to your Google Picasa Web Albums or your Google+ Photos albums depending on how you like to get there. The idea is to make it easy for you to share photos and videos from your Android devices on Google+. The side benefit is that those photos and videos are automatically backed up to the cloud from your devices!

This is what I always thought should have been included with the Android Gallery App, but it is nice to see it finally make it to Android devices.
