The Best, Most Affordable Alternatives to Mozy for Unlimited Backups

Lifehacker published a post a few days ago listing the best, most affordable alternatives to Mozy for unlimited backups. Not surprising the services they list are not much different than the ones I wrote about a few days earlier. There are a few differences though.

Lifehacker included Crashplan on their list. I did not include Crashplan mainly because I have not had a chance to properly review Crashplan. I have been working on a review but did not feel it was ready to be included on the list. Once I get a chance to finish my review I might add them. I will say that Crashplan has improved considerably since I tried it last. It has become more stable. Previously when I tried Crashplan it appeared to have a memory leak of some kind and would randomly crash.

Lifehacker also missed a few services that I mentioned. Lifehacker mentions Livedrive but really gave not details about them. With the Livedrive Mozy discount they are a good option to take a look at.

Lifehacker did not even mention Diino or Keepit. Both are good options and I am surprised that Lifehacker did not include them. While they might not be as solid as Backblaze or Carbonite they are good options.

For those people looking to stay on a monthly plan, be sure to check out our Mozy Monthly Subscription Alternatives post. Not everyone likes being locked into one or more year contracts.

If you have any other alternatives to Mozy let us know in the comments.
