SpiderOak Launches New Website Design

SpiderOak has been busy quietly launching their latest website. Overall the new design is nice, certainly a change from the late 90’s look that they had on their old website.

Although the site is a nice change I personally find it a little hard to read the grey text and the yellow is a little jarring on the eyes. They have also redone their support/faq section and it has become pretty close to useless. The search uses DuckDuckGo.com to search their website, but clicking on the links in the search results ultimately lead you back to the same support/faq page and not the result you are looking for. Certainly a little frustrating, even for me who was looking for some information this morning.

I also noticed that our links to SpiderOak were returning 404 errors because the old affiliate links (yes they are affiliate links in case you are wondering) were not properly being redirected to the correct page. If you had visited and clicked through in the last few days and got a 404 error, my apologies, SpiderOak has not exactly let us all know that the site would be changing or that the links would not continue to work.

It is a nice change for SpiderOak and a nice upgrade on their older looking site.
