SpiderOak is going to be releasing a new version of their desktop client soon, featuring LAN Sync. For those that don’t know what LAN sync is basically it allows the your computers on the same network to sync files between them instead of first uploading them to the SpiderOak servers and then back down again. This should improve the speed of syncing between computers on the same network.
SpiderOak is a great file syncing service that takes security seriously but it was always a little slow in processing file synchronizations between computers. You can read more about the feature on the SpiderOak blog.
Personally I am looking forward to this feature since it should make the sync between my computers at the house considerably faster. Thanks SpiderOak!
